Carrington Classic Raises $43,000 For DaySpring Villa

Tulsa, Oklahoma - May 2, 2011- The Rodney Carrington Foundation hosted the First Annual
Carrington Classic golf tournament at the Cherokee Hills Golf Course located at the Hard Rock
Hotel & Casino. A field of 100 players enjoyed a round of golf and raised $43,000 for the
designated charity of the foundation – DaySpring Villa.

The DaySpring Villa is a domestic violence shelter located just outside the Tulsa area and is
Oklahoma's only faith-based, certified domestic violence shelter, where women and their
children discover life without abuse. Through spiritual guidance, goals-based programs, social
services, advocacy and support, DaySpring Villa helps women in crisis transform their lives to
emerge strong, independent and self-sufficient. Since 1995, they have sheltered, clothed and
fed nearly 6,000 women and children who took the first step to leave an abusive relationship
and set a positive new course for their future. “We are just thrilled and so excited to have this
additional money. The funds from the Carrington Classic will be used to remodel the bathroom
for our guests and help us continue to assist the women and children who need our services”,
said Wilma Lively, Executive Director of DaySpring Villa. Mrs. Lively added that, “the Carrington
Classic has helped to promote awareness of DaySpring Villa, both locally and nationally, and the
problem of domestic violence”.

The Rodney Carrington Foundation is a 501©3 organization created by entertainer Rodney
Carrington and his wife, Terri, to help those in need in the Tulsa community. The foundation
